Transcript

This week we’ve been asking, “Can we be good without God?” Now, people can do the right thing without believing in God but, it’s inconsistent. You see, in their worldview there’s no absolute standard for morality.

Now, while people can be “good” in the eyes of other humans, we can’t be good by God’s definition. God’s standard for goodness is himself and he’s perfectly good—and perfectly holy. His standard is perfection!

But we all fall short of that standard. Consider the Ten Commandments have you ever told a lie? Stolen anything? Taken God’s name in vain? We’ve all broken God’s law and therefore deserve death.

There’s hope more tomorrow.
