Transcript

The Apostle Paul references homosexuality three times in his New Testament letters. While Christians have always understood Paul as writing that homosexual behavior is sinful, some Christian influencers are reinterpreting his words. They’re claiming Paul was only against abusive gay relationships, common in Roman culture at the time.

But if Paul was merely condemning abuse, why didn’t he just say that? Why did he give a condemnation of homosexual behavior that’s been interpreted as a complete condemnation of all gay relationships for 2,000 years? Is Scripture really that unclear?

No! Such an interpretation twists Scripture and ignores the text.
