Yesterday we learned that, while we might be considered “good” by other people, God’s standard of goodness is perfection. And none of us can meet that standard. We’ve all sinned and deserve the just penalty of sin death.

But, there’s hope for every sinner! Jesus came and lived the perfect life that we can’t live. He met God’s perfect standard! Then he died on the cross, taking our penalty of sin on himself. He died the death we deserve and paid the full price for our sin.

Everyone who turns from their sin and trusts in Christ alone for salvation receives forgiveness of their sins and eternal life with Christ. That’s good news for every sinner!
