Were ancient cultures primitive or highly intelligent?

Well, we find evidence that many of these civilizations had a complex knowledge of astronomy. Some structures from ancient times are so precise that their builders must’ve known that the Earth wobbles as it spins. They knew this caused the constellations to shift.

Many cultures also knew that Saturn has rings and that the stars Sirius A and B are actually two stars, even though they appear to be a single star.

The ancients must’ve used telescopes or lenses.

This kind of intelligence is exactly what we’d expect in a biblical worldview humans, created in God’s image, have used their minds from the beginning.
