Transcript

Yesterday we learned that death and suffering are part of our world because of the first man Adam’s sin. You see, God originally created a perfect world, free from death and suffering. Everything was “very good.”

Now God created two people, Adam and Eve, with the freedom to obey his command to them. The Bible teaches we aren’t puppets, forced to obey God because we have no choice. Adam and Eve had the choice to obey their Creator, or rebel and in essence be their own gods. They chose rebellion, and the penalty for sin against a perfect, holy God is death.

That’s the bad news but the good news is Christ paid the penalty for our rebellion in his own death and resurrection.
