An increasing number of Christians now believe that Adam was just the descendant of ape-like creatures that died out.

But think about that. If Adam is the product of evolution . . . then death existed long before Adam. But the Bible teaches that death is a consequence for Adam’s sin!

In Genesis, God tells Adam the punishment for disobedience is death. In Romans, the Apostle Paul links Adam’s sin with why we sin and die today. And in first Corinthians, Paul connects Adam’s death with Jesus’ death to save us. But if Adam is a product of evolution, then none of this is true because death would’ve existed for millions of years before Adam’s sin.
