This is Ken Ham, on a mission to call the church back to the authority of God’s Word.

Last year a viral video showed a man brazenly shoplifting from a store in San Francisco. In response, one news anchor defended the thief, saying he was probably “just getting something he needed.”

Now we can certainly feel compassion for those who feel they must steal. But stealing is still wrong. You see, our circumstances don’t determine right from wrong—God and his Word do.

Our culture today sees morality as very relative.

Now, we can have distress at desperate circumstances, offer genuine help, and condemn stealing at the same time. After all, God’s Word tells us to be kind and tenderhearted, generous to the poor, and not steal.
