Transcript

Many Christians say that God created with the big bang and that the days of creation were long periods of time. Does that match with Genesis?

No!

You see, the word “day” can mean different things. But in the Old Testament, whenever it’s with a number, or the word “night,” or “morning” or “evening,” it always means a regular, twenty-four-hour day. And all of those are found in Genesis!

Exodus chapter 20 says God created everything in six days and rested for a day. That’s why we have a seven-day week.

Jesus said humans were created at the beginning of creation, not billions of years after the beginning.

The big bang and millions of years just don’t fit with Scripture.
