In Brazil there’s a rock formation called Santana. It’s famous for incredibly well-preserved fossils of insects, dinosaurs, birds, plants, and fish—lots of fish! Fine details like skin, muscles, colors, food in their stomachs, and even blood cells are preserved! They look like they were just buried yesterday. It’s amazing!
How is this possible? Well, evolutionary scientists wonder if maybe there were rare catastrophic conditions—things like toxic chemicals or a change in the amount of salt or oxygen in the water. But they don’t really know—they just know it had to be some kind of catastrophe.
Well, the catastrophe?—Noah’s Flood!
