This is Ken Ham, CEO of the ministry that built a full-size Noah’s Ark south of Cincinnati.
We saw yesterday that the apostles believed Genesis was real history. But what about the early church fathers?
Well, most of them interpreted Genesis as literal history. They believed the six days of creation were twenty-four-hour days. Now, a few argued that the days weren’t literal—but they didn’t believe in long ages. They said God created in just an instant!
Not only did most of the church fathers believe the days were regular days, they also accepted a young earth. Why? Well, if you start with just the Bible, it’s obvious: the earth’s young.
Historically, Christians have believed in a young earth because they started with the Bible!
