Giving Kids the Right Foundation

Scripture commands parents to teach their children the things of God. But how do we do that?

Well, first we need to give them the right foundation to build their thinking—that is, their worldview. And that foundation is God’s Word.

So here’s how this works practically.

Don’t teach kids that the Bible is just some kind of guidebook to life or book of moral things. It’s the foundation for our thinking and for a biblical worldview! It’s the ultimate authority—from the very first verse. We must always start with God’s Word and hold everything up to Scripture.

Without the right foundation, we can’t expect children to build the right worldview.
