All this week we’re looking at a so-called “proof” of long ages—radiometric dating. But it’s built on unprovable assumptions.

For example, this process assumes there hasn’t been any contamination of the rocks—so these scientists have to assume that over millions of years natural processes haven’t added or removed any of the parent or daughter atoms used for dating.

But that’s a bad assumption! For example, fifty-year-old lava flows in New Zealand gave radiometric ages ranging from over one hundred million years to nearly four billion years.

Clearly these assumptions are . . . wrong! Yes, the earth is young!
