Yesterday we learned that to teach children in the Lord, we have to start with the right foundation—the authority of God’s Word, beginning in Genesis.

You see, the biblical worldview is grounded in the history in Genesis: Why is marriage for a man and woman? Because that’s how God created it in the beginning. Why is this world full of death and suffering? Because we live in a once “very good” world that’s now broken because of sin. Why do we need a Savior? Because we’re all descended from Adam and Eve and therefore sinners.

All our theology and worldview is grounded in that history, so we need to teach God’s Word as history from the very first verse.
