The Bible describes the Garden of Eden as a real place. But where was it?

Well, many people think it was in the Middle East, because the Tigris and Euphrates rivers are mentioned as flowing in Eden. That’s where the rivers are today.

But this idea has two big problems. First: even though they have the same names, the modern-day Tigris and Euphrates rivers aren’t the ones that flowed in Eden. They don’t match the description.

Problem number two: the flood! The flood destroyed the world of that time.

So where was the garden of Eden? We just don’t know! Eden was wiped away during the flood, and our world today is very different from the world before the flood.
