What Goes to Heaven With You?

In my public talks, I share a picture that has material things in it, like a house and car. It also includes a young child. Then I ask the audience, “What can you take to heaven with you?”

The audience usually says, “Nothing!” But … there’s one thing you can take to heaven with you . . . your child!

Of all the things in that picture, only the child has an eternal soul. That soul will live forever, either in heaven or in hell.

Now, does that change your priorities?

Many parents don’t prioritize biblical teaching . . . but what you teach your children has eternal consequences! The things of this earth will pass away, so commit your time to teaching your children God’s Word.
