How Long Ago Was Creation?

Some Christians argue we can’t know how long ago creation was. Now, the Bible doesn’t give us a specific age for the universe. And that’s a good thing—it would be out of date within a year! Instead, the Bible gives us exactly what we need—the true history of the universe!

The Bible tells us God created everything in six days. Now, these were literal, twenty-four-hour days—as we’ll see tomorrow. Then it gives us detailed chronologies from Adam to Abraham.

So when you do the math, that length is about two thousand years. Then there was two thousand years from Abraham to Christ. And two thousand years from then until now.

That means creation was only about six thousand years ago.
