How would you build a house? Would you start with the roof . . . or the walls? Of course not. You’d start with the foundation. Without a foundation, that structure won’t stand.
Many parents try and teach their children the things of God much like a builder who starts with the roof or walls. Sadly, they only teach moral and spiritual things to their children. But they don’t give them the right foundation—the absolute authority of the Word of God.
You know, without that foundation, the structure of Christian morality collapses. We must build from the foundation up—emphasizing God’s Word as the authority. And we must show them how our Christian worldview is grounded in God’s unchanging Word.
