This is Ken Ham, author of the new book on raising a godly family, Will They Stand?
Did Adam and Eve really live? Sadly, many Christians say “no.” But that’s not what the Bible teaches.
Both the Old and New Testaments make it clear: Adam and Eve were real people. Adam’s sin brought death . . . and that’s why Jesus came and died a physical death. Think about it—if death really isn’t the penalty for sin, why did Jesus come and die?
Now, many of these same people argue that Jesus didn’t really die in our place on the cross. They’ll say he was just a “good example.” That’s where this kind of thinking leads—to a rejection of the truth of the gospel.
Genesis is history. Adam and Eve were real people.
