The Ammonites are one of the many “ites” mentioned throughout Scripture.
Secular archaeologists used to doubt their existence. After all, while they were mentioned in Scripture, the Ammonites didn’t seem to appear anywhere else. Since these archaeologists didn’t believe the Bible, they assumed these people were just made up.
Well, that’s not the case anymore. They’ve discovered an inscription that appears to be for an Ammonite king—and even found the remains of an Ammonite palace.
The Bible was right. The Ammonites existed.
The Bible’s a book of history, authored by the One outside history—and he’s right every time. We need to start our thinking with his Word.
