Not Enough Salt in the Sea

If you’ve ever been swimming in the ocean and got a mouthful of seawater, you probably noticed this: yes, it’s salty! But it’s actually not salty enough. Let me explain.

Every year, over three hundred million tons of salt are added to the ocean from the continents. And that salt mostly stays there. Now, if the oceans started out with no salt, they’d reach their current salinity in just over forty million years, by secular standards. But the oceans are thought to be three billion years old! They should be so salty today that we could walk on them!

Well, this is only a problem for the evolutionary worldview. From a biblical worldview, the earth is young.
