All this week we’ve seen that the battle between science and the Bible isn’t really over … science and the Bible! It’s actually a battle over interpretations … and starting points.
So what does this mean for Christians?
Well, we always need to start with God’s Word. When we try to add millions of years … or evolution … into the Bible, we’re really starting with man’s word. We’re sadly reinterpreting God’s clear Word because of fallible human ideas.
The Bible says that God’s Word will never pass away … and that it’s true in everything it says. Instead of starting with the ever-changing ideas of man, let’s begin with the unchanging, authoritative Word of God.
