A Balanced Approach

How should we approach caring for God’s creation? Well, as we’ve seen this week, we’re to have dominion over all God has made. We’re to care for creation for God’s glory … and our good.

And, really, it’s about a balanced approach. Many in our culture exalt creation over everything, especially humanity. Others don’t care about creation at all. Neither approach is biblical!

We’re to care for creation. Yes, God is ultimately in control, but we’ve been given a responsibility to have dominion. So, we can’t just say, “Well, Jesus is coming back and making a new heavens and new earth.”

We need to obey the Lord’s command to exercise wise dominion … until he returns.
