Millions of Animals on the Ark?

I’m often asked how Noah could’ve fit millions of animals on the ark. But they don’t realize two things.

One, the ark was massive! It was much longer than a football field.

Second, Noah was told to take two of every “kind,” seven pairs of some, on board. And only of the air-breathing land animals.

Now, “kind” is about the classification level of “family.” So Noah didn’t need o take two of every species, just two of every “family.” So Noah probably had less than seven thousand animals on the ark.

The ark was definitely large enough for the few thousand animals that he had to bring.
