All this week we’ve been talking about supposed contradictions in the Bible. Yesterday we learned that verses need to be understood within the context of the verses around them.
Well, there’s another kind of context that’s vital.
You see, the Bible doesn’t reveal everything about God and his plan throughout history in just one verse. That would be impossible! So we need to understand all of Scripture. Sometimes something seems like a contradiction only because it’s not a complete treatment of the topic. But other verses throughout Scripture give us everything we need to know to understand it.
No. When we look at it carefully in context, there aren’t any contradictions in the Bible.
