Transcript

I’m often told Noah couldn’t have fit millions of species of animals on the ark. But he didn’t have to!

You see, Noah was commanded to take two of every kind of land-dwelling, air-breathing animal on the ark with him. And seven pairs of some. So no fish … and probably no insects! And that word “kind” is important. “Kind” is about the level of “family” in our modern classification system. So Noah didn’t need species; he needed kinds … or families.

That means he only needed about one-thousand-four-hundred kinds, or less than seven thousand animals! That’s not that many!

As we show at our life-size Ark, Noah could easily fit them on board.
