Well, on Thanksgiving Day here in America, let’s stop and thank God for the blessings he’s given us—and one of those blessings is God’s Word!
You see, it’s obvious from what he’s made that there’s a Creator. Romans chapter one tells us we can learn about God’s invisible attributes from what he’s made. But creation itself isn’t enough. We need special revelation from God to learn about him … and about who we are.
The Bible tells us that creation’s broken because of sin, and that we’re sinners. God’s Word says we need a Savior. And that Savior stepped into history to save us.
So today, thank God for his Word—for faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of Christ.
