When Jesus talked about his second coming, he said it would be “as in the days of Noah.” Well, people would be eating, drinking, and marrying—not realizing judgment was coming.
Now, many people say the flood described in Genesis was only a local flood—or was just a story, but not real history. Now, Jesus clearly didn’t think that! He used it as a comparison to his coming global judgment.
If the flood wasn’t real history, then why should we believe Jesus’ second coming is a literal coming event? After all, he compares it to the flood!
But the flood was real history. The evidence is all around us: in the rock layers and fossils. And Jesus second coming it’s real as well.
