The Apostle Peter warns of a time when people will scoff at the history in Genesis. And they’ll say, “All things continue as they have since the beginning.” Specifically, Peter predicts they’ll reject creation and the flood.

And, you know, that’s what’s been happening in the West for over two hundred years. Sadly, many in the church have joined in, rejecting what the Bible teaches about history and adding man’s ideas into it.

Peter reminds us that just as creation and the flood were literal events, so will Jesus’ coming judgment be. At that time, our world won’t be judged with water—but with fire.

Let’s not scoff at what Scripture teaches. God’s Word is clear.
