Transcript

When Mount St. Helens erupted in 1980, the catastrophe ripped millions of trees from their roots. Now the trees were washed into a nearby lake. Some actually floated upright. Eventually, the trees sank—but still standing tall and upright. Scuba divers say it looks like an underground forest!

In Yellowstone National Park, we find fossil trees buried just like the ones at Mount St. Helens. Now, this “fossil forest” is believed to have formed by many forests living and dying over a long time. But it looks similar to the underwater forest at Mount St. Helens—which was formed rapidly by a catastrophe!

Fossil forests are the result of catastrophes—such as the global flood of Genesis!
