Why Start With Creation?

In our post-Christian, very secularized culture, it’s important to start at the beginning of the Bible—Genesis—when presenting the gospel. But why?

Well, today many people know nothing about the Bible, God, or Jesus Christ. They don’t understand they’re sinners, in need of a Savior.

But when we start in Genesis, we show that God—the one true God—is the Creator. And that we rebelled against him in Adam. That’s why we’re all sinners.

The punishment for sin is death. Sin is the reason we all die. But Jesus stepped into history, as a descendant of Adam, to die for us. He rose from the grave and now offers the wonderful free gift of eternal life for those who trust him.
