Yesterday we learned there’s no such thing as prehistory. After all, the Bible starts recording history from the beginning. So what about so-called “prehistoric people”?

Well, here’s how we understand “prehistoric people,” like Neanderthals. Genesis tells us God created Adam and Eve as the first two people. This means everyone is descended from those two.

Now, Neanderthals weren’t primitive. They made jewelry, played musical instruments, and made beautiful tools. They were clearly fully human. And that means they’re descendants of Adam and Eve, just like us.

So-called “prehistoric” peoples were just people, descended from Adam, who lived after Noah’s flood.
