Keeping the Gospel the Main Thing

Yesterday we learned that Answers in Genesis’ main focus is biblical authority. But, really, that’s only half of it. We care so much about biblical authority because of the gospel.

You see, if we can’t trust what God’s Word says in Genesis when it talks about history, why should we trust the message of the gospel—which is grounded in that history? It’s only because Adam’s sin brought physical death into creation that Jesus needed to die a physical death. You just can’t separate death as the penalty for sin from Christ’s work on the cross.

We care about defending biblical authority because we believe the gospel is the power of salvation for all who believe.
