We know the Bible is true because, ultimately, it was written by God. But how do we know it was written by God himself?
Well, the Bible was written over a period of one thousand, six hundred years—by over forty human authors. With so many people involved over such a long time, we’d expect inconsistencies, mistakes, and major changes of theme. Yet we don’t find that. The Bible is utterly consistent in its message.
We have a book that doesn’t contradict itself, with no mistakes, and a consistent theme—the redemption of sinful man by the holy Creator God. This is only possible because God is the ultimate author of Scripture.
