Marriage—It’s God’s Institution

In an evolutionary view, marriage is just a social institution—one that evolved over time. So if marriage changed in the past, it can change again, as our culture changes. This kind of thinking has led to the redefinition of marriage throughout the Western World.

But marriage didn’t evolve, and its definition isn’t determined by popular opinion. Marriage isn’t ultimately a social, cultural, or government institution. Marriage is God’s institution. He created marriage from the very beginning, so only he has the authority to define what it is and what it isn’t.

And God has clearly defined it as one man and one woman … for life.
