When many people hear of astronomy, they think “big bang” and billions of years. But the history we find in the Bible is opposed to this kind of thinking.

You see, the Bible teaches that our universe was created in six days by the all-powerful Creator—and that it’s young, just a few thousand years old.

The Bible also tells us a few other things about astronomy. It teaches that the earth is round and hangs on nothing. And the New Testament mentions that stars are different from one another. All of these truths have been confirmed by the work of astronomers.
