Christ, the Eternal God

During this time of year, we typically think of Jesus as the babe in the manger. We teach our kids and grandkids about God becoming man in the form of a baby. This baby would grow up to save us from our sins by his death on the cross.

But Christmas provides a great opportunity to go even deeper with your kids. Many children, and even many adults, don’t understand that Jesus didn’t come into being at the manger. He’s the eternal God and our Creator! He’s always existed—from eternity past and will exist for eternity future.

Use Christmas as an opportunity to show Christ in the Old Testament. Show how the history of the Bible is foundational for Christ’s saving work.
