Beautiful spiral galaxies, such as the Milky Way, are found throughout the known universe. Now, the arms of the spiral contain many bright stars. But, as we learned earlier this week, these stars use up their fuel very quickly. They can’t last billions of years.

And it’s not just the stars of the spiral galaxies that can’t last that long. The shape of the galaxy itself shouldn’t be here if our universe is as old as is commonly claimed. You see, the inner stars on the spiral rotate at different speeds to the outer stars. So after a few rotations, the spiral wouldn’t exist.

This points to a young universe, just as we’d expect starting with the Bible’s account of history.
