This is Ken Ham, author of the new book on effective evangelism called called Gospel Reset .
All this week we’ve been looking at how to discern false teaching. We’ve seen we must compare all teaching to God’s Word … and check out the fruit of those who teach us. Well, we can also look at the heart behind their teaching.
Scripture tells us many false teachers will “follow their sensuality.” Does the heart behind a teaching encourage sinful behaviors and lust of the flesh? Many teachers today won’t teach on sin. Some even claim that what the Bible says is sin, isn’t sin.
This is part of following their sensuality. They want to be allowed to do what they want to do, so they tell people God is okay with it.
But if a message is from God, it will spur us to holiness.
