Archaeologists in Jerusalem published an exciting discovery earlier this year. They uncovered a clay seal bearing a familiar name—Isaiah! Now, they can’t prove this seal came from the biblical prophet Isaiah, but they think it could be. And discovered nearby was a seal from King Hezekiah, one of the four kings who reigned while Isaiah was prophesying.

Of course, we don’t need archaeology to prove Isaiah, or any other biblical figure. It’s great to see a potential confirmation of what the Bible says, but we don’t believe the Bible because of archaeology. We believe the Bible because it’s God’s Word.

Archaeology confirms what we know to be true!
