Last week we looked at biblical teachings that are grounded in the doctrine of creation. Now, this week we’re going to look at another account from Genesis—the Flood.

So, what mark did this event leave on the world? Well, you’re standing on it—literally!

Underneath your feet are miles of rock layers. Each layer is made of a very specific kind of rock, so we can trace it around the world. And we find rock layers that begin here in America and extend all the way into Europe and the Middle East! We also find multiple rock layers that were bent while still soft. Other layers are filled with massive fossil graveyards.

So, what could create such rock layers? Well, the global Flood of Noah’s day!
