Saturn’s Rings—They’re Young!

The sixth planet in our solar system, Saturn, is surrounded by thousands of beautiful, intricate rings. The spacecraft Cassini recently passed through these rings, in a planned crash into the planet.

During its pass-through, Cassini measured the gravitational pull of the rings. It confirmed they’re too light to have lasted for billions of years. Cassini also measured dust coming from outer space, and found the rings are too clean to be old. Researchers were forced to conclude Saturn’s rings must somehow be young.

Well, this doesn’t surprise those who start with God’s Word. We know Saturn’s rings are just a few thousand years old, created by God for his glory.
