Is Gender on a Spectrum?

Did you know Facebook currently offers over 50 different gender options? It’s become popular to think of gender on a spectrum—with people falling somewhere on that spectrum. And it’s depending on how they “feel.”

But in the midst of all this confusion, we can look to God’s Word for solid answers.

In Genesis we read, “God created male and female.” Jesus affirmed this truth in the New Testament when he was asked about marriage. He quoted Genesis and said, “God created them male and female.”

Gender isn’t on a spectrum. We’re distinctly male and female, because God designed us that way—from the beginning.

We can’t decide what we want to be. We need to look to God’s Word.
