Today we’re wrapping up a series on how we can encourage your family to stand on the authority of God’s Word.

We saw that we need to read God’s Word, memorize it, talk about it, and rejoice in it. What do all these things have in common? They keep the Bible as a constant companion in your home. And when the Bible is held in this place, you and your family will welcome its authority in your life—and it will have the final say.

Of course, God’s Word can’t be your authority if you don’t know what it says. When you do, then you can apply what you’ve learned in every area of life. God’s Word will then become the standard—the authority—by which you think.
