A War of Science?

The most basic definition of “science” is “knowledge.” It’s usually defined as the knowledge we gain through the scientific method or using our five senses.

Now, many people claim there’s an on-going “war on science” in the West. When asked for examples, they’ll usually point to a rejection of evolution or man-made climate change. Even questioning these things is considered a wholesale supposed dismissal of all scientific knowledge.

But this is ridiculous. Those who reject evolution or man-made climate change don’t reject science. These people are often scientists! What they do reject is a particular interpretation--based on their worldview—that’s imposed on the evidence.
