In one of his epistles, the Apostle Peter warns of a time when scoffers will claim that physical processes go on and on—without any divine intervention. Now, Peter specifically mentions that these scoffers will reject: creation, Noah’s Flood, and the coming judgment by fire.

He also warns that scoffers will try to get Christians to fall and be led away into error.

Sadly, many of today’s scoffers are succeeding. They deny the history of God’s Word and lead many Christians, especially in this next generation, to do the same.

We need to heed Peter’s warning today and beware of the scoffers’ arguments.

Let God be true, and every scoffer a liar.
