The Bad News First

The Bible’s message is one of good news! It tells us we can be reconciled to God be forgiven and we can experience eternity with Christ. What a message of hope!
But it’s only good news if we know the bad news first. We need to know why we need to be reconciled to God—and why we need forgiveness—if we’re going to understand how good this message really is.
Genesis tells us God created a perfect world. But Adam, the first man, rebelled against God and brought death into creation. We all sinned in Adam and we continue to sin—we’re in rebellion against our Creator. There’s nothing we, by ourselves, can do about it!
That’s why Jesus came.
