Transcript

In celebration of Thanksgiving in America, all week we are looking at reasons to be thankful that God created us and we didn’t evolve.

In an evolutionary worldview, humans are nothing more than animals. Our closest living relatives, so it goes, are apes. And we are descended from an ape-like ancestor. Because of this, we wouldn’t have any more value than any other creature.

But the Bible has a very different view of mankind. We were created separate and distinct from the animal kingdom—and made in the very image of God. And because we bear his image, we have intrinsic worth and value, that no animal has.

There is no ape in your ancestry.
