Jesus and Marriage

There is a lot of confusion in our culture right now regarding marriage. The US government has legalized same-sex “marriage.” And more people are celebrating and promoting same-sex relationships. But what does God’s Word say about marriage?

Well, yesterday we learned that God created it to be between one man and one woman for life. Jesus reaffirmed this in the New Testament. When asked about marriage, He responded with a quote from Genesis chapters 1 and 2, the very place where marriage began. He recognized that marriage was designed by God, and we need to follow His design.

We don’t have the authority to redefine marriage. Instead we need to rely on what God’s Word tells us.
