God’s Word—the Authority in Our Homes

Yesterday we talked about igniting a new Reformation for this generation. We seek to encourage young people to stand on the authority of God’s Word. But how do we do that in our homes?

Number one: when you discipline your children, give biblical reasons for their correction. Point to God’s Word as the standard for our behavior, not human opinions.

Two: Read God’s Word as a family and encourage your children to do so on their own. This will help them know what is in the Bible.

Three: Discuss science and history from a biblical perspective. Show how God’s Word provides an accurate history of the world.

We need this generation to base their thinking on God’s Word and boldly proclaim the gospel.
