As Americans look forward to celebrating Thanksgiving later this week, we are going to look at five reasons to be thankful God created and didn’t use evolution.

Number 1: Since God didn’t use evolution, he is not the author of death and suffering. So we have answers for a broken world. If God used evolution, then he used a process involving millions of years of death, suffering, bloodshed, and extinction to create us. That makes God an ogre who calls death “very good.”

But the Bible makes it clear God didn’t use evolution. He is not the author of death—we are responsible because of our sin. That is why God calls death an “enemy.” And he defeated it on the cross.
